Soma Breathwork

Soma Breath is a revolutionary breathwork meditation training company combining ancient pranayama techniques with specially crafted music and guided creative visualisation.

The breathing techniques taught in Soma Breath have proven physiological and psychological benefits allowing participants to relieve stress, gain more focus and mental clarity, increase physical energy and so much more

The combination of breathing techniques, music and creative visualisation also allow participants to enter into deep meditative states where they can reprogram their subconscious mind to get rid of limiting beliefs and inspire positive change in themselves

Key Components of SOMA Breathwork:

  1. Rhythmic Breathing

    • Typically involves controlled, rhythmic inhales and exhales through the nose (or sometimes mouth) in sync with music.

    • The breathing is done in cycles (e.g., 2-4 minutes of rhythmic breathing followed by a retention phase).

Breath Retention (Kumbhaka)

  • After a period of rhythmic breathing, you exhale and hold your breath (retention on the exhale).

  • Sometimes followed by retention on the inhale (holding after a full breath in).

  • This mimics intermittent hypoxia, which has several studied benefits.

Music & Brainwave Entrainment

  • Custom-produced music (with binaural beats or specific rhythms) is used to entrain brainwaves and guide breathing pace.

Visualization & Affirmations

  • Users are often guided through visualizations or mantras to support emotional release, goal-setting, or healing.
